The Krutenau: a district filled with history

The tour explores this quarter’s rich history: the boatmen’s guild, the old fortifications, the formerly numerous convents, the barracks, the university, and more. You’ll learn where the “Cat Bridge” used to be, how Rue de Zurich got its name, and why a monument to the dead can be found in the courtyard of the School of Decorative Arts.
